For more than 25 years, Bryan has represented Kentucky’s public and private employers on all aspects of litigation, governance, education and employment law, and civil rights. His unique understanding of the First Amendment and its application to local governments, higher education institutions, and K-12 schools is the hallmark of his practice. He has counseled and defended some of the largest employers in the region in various employment law matters, and serves as the city attorney for a municipality in Central Kentucky.
Bryan has defended numerous claims before the EEOC charging race, gender, age, and disability discrimination, and public employee speech claims. He has also represented business owners in their entrepreneurial interests assisting as they serve as economic drivers in our local communities, offer dependable and supportive jobs for Kentucky families, and provide continuity of service to their customers.
A Life Member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference, Bryan is a former Kentucky Chapter President of the Federal Bar Association, and was named by U.S. News Best Lawyers the 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” for employment law in the Lexington metropolitan region.

Successfully defended a city on employee whistleblower and defamation claims.
Won appellate decision affirming qualified immunity for middle school faculty and staff against alleged failure to prevent sexual abuse by school employee.
Successfully defended university from student’s Title IX claim that University officials were deliberately indifferent to his complaint of sexual harassment.
Successfully defended business on age and disability discrimination and retaliation claims.
Win for a university on prospective student’s ADA and Section 504 claims alleging failure to accommodate dietary needs.
Win for university officials on nontenured professor’s due process claims relating to her termination.
Amici counsel for 16 public and private institutions of higher education from Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and Michigan and win for institutions on Title IX claim by student alleging peer sexual harassment.
Win for a university denying male student’s request for an injunction to stop sexual misconduct disciplinary proceedings.

The Bourbon County Fiscal Court appointed Bryan as a commissioner of the Bourbon County Educational Funds Scholarship. Bryan and his family donate their time to the Joni and Friends Wheels for the World campaign serving as the Central Kentucky coordinator collecting wheelchairs for restoration and distribution for those in need.
