Katie Bouvier Elevated to Partnership
Sturgill, Turner, Barker & Moloney, PLLC is pleased to announce that Catherine E. “Katie” Bouvier has been promoted to Member of the firm, effective January 1, 2024.
A four-time Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” honoree for Insurance Law, Katie has extensive experience defending clients in trial and appellate courts at the state and federal level. She chairs Sturgill Turner’s Torts & Insurance practice group, focusing her practice on civil litigation and insurance defense.
Katie represents and advises clients in a wide variety of cases, including insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, and more. Prior to joining Sturgill Turner, she worked in private practice in a regional defense firm and had prosecuted more than five hundred felony cases as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Fayette County. She is a contributing author to Kentucky Instructions to Juries (Criminal).

Katie serves as Vice President of the Bluegrass Claims Association Board of Directors and as Chair of the CLE Committee for the Kentucky Defense Counsel. She is a member of the Kentucky and Fayette County Bar Associations, the FCBA Women Lawyers’ Association and Young Lawyers Division, the Central Kentucky American Inn of Court, and Defense Research Institute (DRI), as well as serving on Sturgill Turner’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee.
She is a member of the Leadership Lexington Class of 2022-23 and serves on the Junior Achievement Leadership Lexington Youth Program Steering Committee.
